[edit] Photo

The photo for this page should be replaced with a photograph of a classical/pancake tutu that (a) focuses on the costume, not the dancer, and (b) if it shows the dancer, must show proper technique. I'll search my archives and see if I have anything suitable, but if anyone else has something, please don't hesitate to put it in. Apologies for the horrible grammar in that sentence, by the way. Commons:Category:Ballerinas features tutus in nearly every picture, but also dancers. It could certainly be a temporary solution, for an image of a romantic tutu (I think I see a pancake or two in there as well). I wish I had a practice tutu around to photograph... --Keitei (talk) 21:25, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Wish the photos on Class Act Tutu or Tutu Etoile were available under a suitable license - they're gorgeous :-P Anyway. I know I have a photograph or two that I've taken of dancers from my school in tutus (classical and romantic), but I'm not sure where those are at the moment. I can search for them over winter break if nothing else suitable has been found by then? -- Splowey 03:53, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

They should make it known that the Pancake is Russian and the typical tutu without wire is English.--Swan32Fouettes 14:54, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

I think under the heading "Classical/Pancake Tutu", the fact that it was a Russian invention should be mentioned.

I found a better image (and edited it to remove the background), though the colours are slightly distracting. I think this far more clearly demonstrates what a tutu is than the other pictures that just happen to include dancers wearing tutus. — Editor at Large(speak) 16:48, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Can someone contribute information about tutu care, tutu bags and carriers, etc? For example, how are tutus transported without damaging them? How do professional dance companies store, transport and care for tutus? Lambtron (talk) 03:07, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
