Coordinates: 18°22′N 83°19′E / 18.37, 83.31 Baliji-peta or Baligi-peta (Telugu - బలిజిపేట) is a Village and Mandal headquarters, near Bobbili, in the Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh, India.

According to some historians, most of the people of Original Balija caste have migrated from this village.^[1]

Balijipeta is located at 18.37° N 83.31° E.^[2] It has an average elevation of 76 meters (252 feet).

Balijipeta mandal has a population of 62,520 in 2001. Males consists of 31,120 and females 31,400 of the population. The average literacy rate is 46% below the national average of 59.5%. Male literacy rate is 59% and that of females 33%.

• Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple was constructed by Barigeda China Narasaiah in Balijipeta in 1869. People of this village have strong faith in the Lord Venkateshwara. Many families belongs to this village carries 'venkata' in the names of most of their family members.
• Sri Nilakanteswara Temple in Narayanapuram was built by Kalinga empires in 10th century A.D.^[3]

• There is a Zilla Parishad High School in Balijipeta.^[4]

• Andhra Bank has a branch at Balijipeta.

• There is a post office at Balijipeta.

• 100 years back also did a business worth of some lakh rupees.and jute is the major business.

• here lot of godouns are there for purpose of storing the jute.

Balijipeta was a Legislative Assembly Constituency of Andhra Pradesh in 1955 and 1962. It was later merged with Vunukuru Constituency.
