Balışeyh is a town and district of Kırıkkale Province in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey. According to 2000 census, population of the district is 13,702 of which 3,344 live in the town of Balışeyh.[1][2] Balışeyh is the historical town of Kırıkkale and built in times of the Seljuks.

The name "Balışeyh" is coming from the famous Sufi Sheik Edebali who is the father-in-law of Osman I, founder of the Ottoman Empire.

Beside Balışeyh's own municipality, there are two more ones which are Town Kulaksız and Town Koçubaba. There are 26 villages administrated by these municipalities.>[3]
