Bairnsdale Railway Station is the current operating terminus of the Gippsland railway in Victoria, Australia.
The line formerly continued through to Orbost until this section was closed in 1987. Passenger services to Bairnsdale were cut beyond Sale in August, 1993 and following the cessation of log trains in December 1995, the line between Sale and Bairnsdale was closed until it was partially reopened for log trains in mid 1999. Following major infrastructure repairs, the passenger service was restored in 2004 with the current 2007 timetable featuring three daily return services running Monday-Friday and two daily return services on Saturday & Sunday running from Melbourne. A five day a week freight train hauling logs from Bairnsdale to North Geelong Yard now operates from a siding on the up (Melbourne) side of Bairnsdale station, and typically leaves around 1710 hours.
There are many coach connections from Bairnsdale. Most connections are for services running east into NSW but a noted smaller connecting service is the 5 days a week service north to the small mountain town of Omeo.

Hillside, Lindenow, Fernbank and Munro stations are demolished and were located between Bairnsdale and Stratford stations.
