Talk:Baška tablet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Text in Croatian" is in fact a transliteration to Latin script. It is not in the modern Croatian. Translation to English uses transcription which is not usual for Wikipedia (Otočac is transcriber to Otochac). It contradicts the existence of Wikipedia entry Otočac which is in original spelling. A more subtle point – the plate is damaged, there are some different interpretations of its text. I'll emphasize all those points in the article. Any objections/remarks? --dnik ► 12:46, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- Done, feel free to improve with hypothesized restorations of unreadable segments ^_^ Dumped the brain-damaged Russian-style romanization of yers pro traditional one (as if the 11th century yers have anything to do with consonant softening/hardening) --Ivan Štambuk (talk) 19:37, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
