Australian Systematic Botany is a peer-reviewed international journal that publishes original research, and sometimes review articles, on topics related to systematic botany in Australia, such as biogeography, taxonomy and evolution. It is published by CSIRO Publishing in cooperation with the Australian Systematic Botany Society. It is broad in scope, covering all plant, algae and fungus groups, including fossils. First published in 1978 as Brunonia, it adopted its current name in 1988. As of early 2007 there have been 20 volumes. At that time it had an impact factor of 1.162. Its ISSN is 1030-1887.[2]
