Athina Karamanlis, according to material on the Yeshiva University Web site, is the author of numerous textbooks on European law; holds an M.A. in economics and a J.D. from the University of Athens, and a Ph.D. in international business law from the Columbia Pacific University, a controversial for-profit distance learning institution; is licensed by the Greek supreme court and arbitration courts in London, Paris, and Vienna; is a lawyer of the European Court of Justice in Brussels; is a legal consultant for the State of New York; and is a senior partner in a law firm practicing under the auspices of the European Union.[1]
