[edit] Biography
Formed in 2005, the band recorded a 4 song demo with producer/engineer Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada, Every Bridge Burned, Before Their Eyes) of The Foundation Studios in Connersville, Indiana. After the demo was recorded and released, they were signed by Oregon record label Rise Records in October 2006.[1] Since being signed, they have released one album, entitled The Arcanum Order, which was released July 24, 2007. The CD featured three rerecorded versions of demo songs, and was also recorded and produced by Rise sponsored Sturgis.[2] The band has been touring nonstop across the United States since releasing the album. The band's sound has been compared to that of Job for a Cowboy, Between the Buried and Me, and Darkest Hour. They have been featured on numerous Rise Records tours[3], and were recently on tour with The Number Twelve Looks Like You. [4] A common misconception is that the band composed to song "Let The Tempest Come". It was originally preformed by the band Neaera. At The Throne of Judgment did not cover this song, much less compose it.
[edit] The break up
On the evening of December 11, 2007, the band posted a MySpace blog announcing that they decided to break up. They cited money troubles, as well as fulfilling band wide goals as reasons. It was rumored that due to the departure of Eric Kemp, their success wouldn't have been very great. They have two dates planned as farewell shows. It was also announced that Eric Kemp would be performing at these two final shows. Their final show was located at the birth of their success, The Garage 1919 located in Lebanon, Ohio. The band received negative feedback on the event due the size of the venue. Many fans had traveled from out of state to watch, but were forced out due it quickly being sold out. Due to this, At The Throne of Judgment preformed a "Second Last Show" right after their first time playing. This allowed the other fans, who didn't get a chance to hear, a turn to listen to them. Still, this was followed with negative feedback because many of the fans had left, angry that the second show was so late.
