This is a photograph of an aspergilium from the Episcopal Cathedral Church of Saint Matthew, Dallas, Texas. The top has been removed to show the small sponge that is inside the aspergilium. Water is poured into a Pitcher (container), then blessed. The aspergilium is dipped into the ewer, and then the bishop uses the aspergilium to bless something with holy water.
This is my photograph that I took and you are welcome to it.
