The Asia Series (officially known as the Konami Cup for sponsorship reasons) is an international baseball tournament in East Asia that was first held between November 10 and November 13, 2005, in Tokyo. It is played among the champions of Japan's Japan Series, South Korea's Korean Series, Taiwan's Taiwan Series, and the championship of China Baseball League of the People's Republic of China. Prior to 2008, China Stars, an all-star team of China Baseball League participated in the series instead of the champion from China.

- The tournament consists of a round-robin preliminary round in which each team plays all 3 of the other teams. The top 2 teams advance to the final round.
- The designated hitter rule is applied throughout the series.
