Arzhang

The Arzhang (Aržang - a Parthian word meaning "Worthy") is the holy book of Manichaeism, written and illustrated by its prophet Mani.
The book has been lost and its content is unknown. However, it is known that its illustrations were of appreciable quality, and copies were preserved in the Middle East as late as AD 1092, when it is recorded that the library of Ghazni held a copy.
In 1904, German expeditions to Central Asia (Turfan in present North-west China) brought back many fragments of Manichaean holy texts, some of which were identified as belonging to The Book of Giants.
