Aritz Aduriz Zubeldia (born February 11, 1981 in San Sebastián) is a Spanish/Basque football player who currently plays for Athletic Bilbao in Spain's La Liga.
Brought up through the ranks of the famed Lezama youth system at Athletic Bilbao, he debuted on September 14, 2002 against FC Barcelona in a 2-0 home loss[1]. He went on to spend almost three seasons (one in Burgos CF, one and a half in Real Valladolid) in second division, before returning to Athletic in January 2006. He has shown continuous progress ever since, attested by his 9 goals in 33 games in the 2006-2007 season, including a hat-trick against Real Zaragoza on May 19, 2007 (a game Athletic lost 4-3)[2].
