Ariel Cañete (born 7 February 1975) is an Argentine golfer.
Cañete was born in Santa Teresita, Buenos Aires. He turned professional in 1995 and started playing on the Challenge Tour in 2002 and finished high enough on the rankings in 2005 to play on the main PGA European Tour. He finished the 2006 season in the top 150 on the Order of Merit which was not enough to secure full playing rights.
His first victory on the European Tour came in January 2007 at the Joburg Open, which granted Cañete a three-year exemption.
