[edit] Article Class

I felt that the article was no longer a stub, so I removed the stub flag from above.

This article is a stub, there is not useful content to justify start class, nor is their any demonstration of formatting, references ... that would improve this rating. Plus there is a significant portion of non encyclopedic content ...maelgwntalk 13:13, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

I paraphrased most of my edits straight from the College Directory, except for the comment about Roach House, whic I read off the architects rednering of it hanging on the wall in Finn House. Most of the otehr information in the article could also be sourced from there, excpet for the history of some of the buildings, which I could source as personal communication from Prof. Ralph. I do not know the correct wikipedia syntax for references, so I left them off., and in any case you would ahve to visit the college to get the Directory, if it is even availible to non-members.
An alternalte source may be the History of the college written by Fr. Shannahan, although I have not read it, so I cannot be certain of this.
are you a studnet at the college, or were you just watching the list of stubs to see which articles had been marked as no longer stubs? If he former, could you post your room numebr so we can talk? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Newmo 1313 (talk • contribs).
Lol no im just an Adelaidean and this article ended up on my watchlist somehow, one day or another. If you want to improve the article significantly then you to reference the material, as long as its a verifiable source. Look at WP:REF. You just have to watch for content appropriate to an encyclopedia - the more important info is history and cultlure of the college, instead of lists of presidents and heads. WP:SCHOOLS may give an idea of content suitable to this sort of article. Welcome btw ...maelgwntalk 06:44, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Surely someone at the college can update the rector, head tutor and student club president details from the honour boards. Ozbrettdj 12:18, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Move page?

Should this page be moved to Aquinas College (University of Adelaide) like it's counterparts - St. Mark's, St. Ann's and Lincoln? All are affiliated with Adelaide University and thus it stands to reason that they should have a consistant naming convention on wikipedia. I'll move the page to Aquinas College (University of Adelaide) after a week if there are no objections. Cheers, ABVS1936 16:09, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

I think, in the interests of consistency among the SAAUCC pages, that this is a good idea.--Yeti Hunter 09:17, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Word to the wise

You may be aware that the St Mark's College page was recently nominated for deletion (the result was keep). As a result of the nomination, many references were added and a significant amount of "cruft" removed in order to ensure the page complied with Wikipedia's guidelines (WP:VERIFY and WP:NOTE specifically). The other SAAUCC pages could do with much of the same sort of cleaning up if they are to avoid problems like this too, as they are presently less referenced and more crufty than the St Mark's page was prior to the AfD. Happy to help if someone at the college can point me in the direction of sources.--Yeti Hunter 04:29, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Aquinascollegeadelaidelogo.jpg

Image:Aquinascollegeadelaidelogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] New Additions

Hi... Am just an exAquinian. This site has grown over the past few yrs, but i think more changes need to be added, such as events, facilities and blocks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.39.81.8 (talk) 03:43, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Go your hardest, though make sure everything is cited to a decent source. We've got to strike the balance between sufficient information and college fanboyism. --Yeti Hunter (talk) 04:46, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, ofcourse, i ll do my best to contain my "nationalism" :P. Btw, what do I do if i wanna upload pics? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.45.165.192 (talk) 11:26, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
choose the "upload file" link on the left of screen, and follow the prompts. Make sure to include copyright information (must be your own work or you must provide a fair use rationale. After that, just write [[image:file name.jpg]] where you want to insert the picture. Cheers, --Yeti Hunter (talk) 11:41, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi, i was going through that link you gave me. But it talks about uploading pics from other sites. Am looking at uploading my own pics. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.45.165.192 (talk) 06:34, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
This link: WP:Upload --Yeti Hunter (talk) 01:36, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Hmmm, i think i better get myself an account. Cuz, it says that i should be logged in, inorder to get upload. Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.45.165.192 (talk) 12:38, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
