[edit] Thanks, and Welcome!
Hello Amazins490! Thanks a lot for your message. There were one or two unusually persistant vandals editing that page, and why they chose Ramaz as a target I couldn't tell you. On that note, let me introduce myself and welcome you! My name is Eric, and it is my pleasure to be the first to welcome you to Wikipedia. I hope you will decide to stay a long time and help us continue to make this one of the greatest sites on the world wide web. Here are a few useful links for you to explore:
In addition to that great wealth of knowledge, let me offer you this advice: do what you enjoy! If you enjoy contributing to sports articles, do so! If you like to correct typoes (...), write new articles, find better ways to organize articles, make useful templates, work on projects with others, or even welcome new members, do so! A happy member of our community is a productive member of our community. You can read all of the above links to the last word, or you can jump right into editing. Be bold!
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have the need to sign a page without the time and date, you can use three tildes (~~~). If you have any questions that aren't easily found with the above links, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question. Once again, welcome to Wikipedia and enjoy!
EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 18:58, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
P.S.- If you'd like to introduce yourself to the community and perhaps get a question or two answered in the process, drop us a line at the new user log.
[edit] US Collaboration of the week
You have voted for Transportation in New York City on WP:USCOTW. It was selected to be this week's winner. You are invited to contribute to improve Transportation in New York City in any way you can. Cmadler 13:27, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] chaaarrrrrlie
See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Charlie the Unicorn. Charlie the Unicorn will be nominated for deletion again, you can be sure of it. You'd better get that article up to standards immediately if you want to keep it. It has to adhere to WP:N, WP:V, WP:RS, and WP:NOR, at a minimum. — coelacan talk — 19:24, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Goats look like rams. You like Ramaz. Ramaz is a ram. Ergo, you like goats
[edit] WikiTalmud
I just started a new project with a friend that I think you might be interested in. I would love for your imput and help in starting this up. Our goal: An internet wiki database that contains the major Jewish texts and a forum for discussing and arguing halacha. Check it out: WikiTalmud. --יהושועEric 06:59, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 01:24, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Talk: Jackie Robinson
I'll see the response over the next day, and then I'll bli neder enter in.
[edit] Miscellanea
DLand knew what YMG refers to :-)
[edit] Shkoiach
Good job. You have to show me how to do it once. Can you make it into a category?
Also, how come whenever I look at your page, I see a Jewish Star behind the wikipedia symbol? Greatal386
- I think its awesome
[edit] Welcome
(a) Since when do you welcome people? (b) Is there a template for that? Greatal386 02:50, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- Good luck on your AP. What time is Fugue Night? Greatal386 03:48, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Template:Mets
The problem you asked about is caused by redirected links in the {{Mets}} template. For the name to appear in bold on the player's page, the link in the template needs to match the exact page name. For example, Howard Johnson is in the template as [[Howard Johnson (baseball player)|Howard Johnson]]
and Howard Johnson (baseball player) is the correct page name. However, Joe Smith is in the template as [[Joe Smith (baseball player)|Joe Smith]]
, but Joe Smith (baseball player) is a redirect to the actual page Joe Smith (baseball). I'll go through the template and fix these. -- Zyxw 14:56, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
