"4:AM Forever" is the fourth single from the album Liberation Transmission, the third studio album by Welsh band Lostprophets. On February 26, 2007 it was confirmed by their record label that 4:AM Forever would be their next single, it was released on April 23, 2007.

New pictures were added to the Lostprophets Myspace page on February 6, leading to speculation that a video for 4:AM Forever was being shot. This speculation was confirmed when the video was leaked online and these shots could be seen as stills in the video. However, the two pictures of Ian Watkins are not in the video.

The video for 4:AM Forever is now available to view on Ryan Smith's website and on YouTube. It has also been released onto the Lostprophets Myspace page.

The video was supposed to be a story in which at the end one of the band members dies, due to insufficient funding for filming, this was not carried out and the video is just performance.

The band also admitted that the original plan for the video was to have a narrative, but timing and budget prevented this from happening. They jokingly stated if they were to make a video compilation, they would re-shoot the ending of the video and put it together with the original release, referencing to the 1989 film Batman, which had been re-released with newly restored audio and video in October 2005.

In a change from every previous Lostprophets single, there will be two 7" vinyl releases and only one CD for this single. In addition to this, a special download release of the single was available from 4am on April 28, including a cover of "Going Underground" by The Jam. This release was be limited to 1500 copies. Also, exclusive live versions of "4:AM Forever" were be made available for download along with "Every Song" and "Never Know" on April 16.^[4]

In an interview on Channel 4's popworld, Ian Watkins stated that the song was called 4:AM Forever because 4AM is the hour in the night that most people die.

The cover of "Going Underground" can also be heard on the compilation "Punk The Clock Vol.3".
