Alto Reed (born in Detroit, Michigan) is the long-time saxophonist with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. His most recognizable performances include the soulful introduction to "Turn the Page" (listen (help·info)) and the saxophone solo in "Old Time Rock and Roll". Alto has also done the soundtracks for two of Jeff Daniels films and has performed with many bands and music artists (Foghat, Grand Funk, Little Feat, Otis Rush, Enchantment, Dave Mason, Spencer Davis, Dan Aykroyd, Jim Belushi and the Blues Bothers and most recently in Romania with Holograf).
