This article is somewhat erroneous and somewhat ambiguous. During 1980s, there were no such country as Germany. There were FRG, GDR and West Berlin instead. Grzes 10:20, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Of course there was, it was just divided into two German states...

- Germany was a state between 1871 and 1945. From 1945, Germany was under a military occupation by the USA, UK, France and USSR from 1945. In 1949, Germany was split into two states, the "Federal Republic of Germany" ("FRG") and the German Democratic Republic ("GDR"). West Berlin was a part of the Federal Republic of Germany, but located with the German Democratic Republic around it. In 1990, some people say they merged into a re-born "Germany". But it is still the Federal Republic of Germany, and in 1990 the former German Democratic Republic became a part of it. We are no longer confused with the names, and don't use the "Federal Republic of" words when talking about that country of today. And if Alphaville was a pop group from the Federal Republic of Germany, it's the same country as today. They still use the 1949 concstitution, not a 1990 one. / Johan1982 00:35, 28 July 2007 (CEST)

As of mid 2005 The song "Forever Young" is the single most remixed song in existence besides "Amazing Grace".

This is weird, but seems to be true. Alphaville's website mentions that their singer once bought an EP by Big in Japan, a short-lived 70s british punk rock band. Of course, one has to presume that the title of Alphaville's hit song "Big in Japan" was influenced by the name of that band.
Alphaville's website also mentions that, when their "Big in Japan" reached #1 in Germany, in april 84, it replaced "Relax", by Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
Here's the weird coincidence: Holly Johnson, the singer of Frankie Goes To Hollywood, used to be the bassist for Big in Japan.
