As the criteria was changed on the Wikiproject, I changed importance to High. I will be upgrading this article soon as it is a very low quality article. Anyone other AGR's helping me out? Sjostrom 06:32, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

This Washington Wine guy isn't as well known as you would like him to be, at least not enough to be in the same paragraph as J.C. Penney and Orville Redenbacher. Sjostrom 06:41, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Um, the Father of Washington Wine? Considering that Washington is the second leading producer of Wine in the US and is a major wine region in the world, Clore's importance should not be understated. He is clearly on par with with at least Orville Redenbacher. Agne 07:29, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
What are you talking about? I could ask someone from Washington who Orville Redenbacher and J.C. Penney were. I doubt most Washington citizens know who Clore is. Yes he is important to agriculture, probably one of AGR's best, but there are many like him, for instance at Lambda, we have the inventor of Calf Milk-Replacer, Dr. Frank Crane. But he is not nationally well known, much like Clore. He can definitely be on the famous people page, but not part of the main paragraphs. Try to type these three things into Google or anything else: Penney, Redenbacher, Clore.... hmm, do you see a difference? Anyway, that should be settled, should I add Norman Borlaug as well? Sjostrom 19:08, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Incorrect, people would be familiar with the brands of Orville Redenbacher and J.C. Penney and not necessarily the individuals themselves. The objective is not to list famous brands and marketing campaigns, now is it? If the objective is to list famous almuni noted for the significant contributions and achievement, then I think it is clear that the Father of Washington wine certainly merits towards the top of AGR alumni. Agne 01:38, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
As a side note, I do support the inclusion of Borlaug in the list. As a Nobel laureate, he is certainly among AGR most distinguished. Agne 01:49, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
I understand your reasoning, and I understand the brand name thing. I did get a little snippy, I apologize because we are most likely on the same team here. The sentence was to list the "most-recognized" names. So I am sorry but I cannot support Clore's inclusion on the main page. I was wondering if we wanted to change that sentence to "Three very recognizable names who were brothers of Alpha Gamma Rho are ..." or just delete it, I'm new here, but from what I know I don't think that would need a citation. Sjostrom 02:04, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
Per WP:V, it probably does need a citation. Agne 12:24, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
