[edit] Plot

Lets not do a blow-by-blow of the plot within the article. Just do a summary and reference a few of the issues. Too much cruft and it will become impossible to maintain. –Abe Dashiell (t/c) 21:44, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Software used? Process of making the comic?

Hey folks, does anybody know how this comic is made, or where I might find a page about that? I'm interested to know what software is used etc. to make the comic... is he using Comic Life, for instance?

[edit] Minor point on AlP's vitality

The 'Style' section diverges from the rest of the article by referring to the comic in the past tense, implying that it is finished, over and GONE. Which may be true; the domain alienlovespredator.com stopped responding near the beginning of May. But a) it's been less than a week, b) no other mention of the comic's 'end' is upon the article (the infobox refers to it being on hiatus "since February" on an indeterminate year. Maybe an update once some more info has been gathered on the comic's future? (I dunno if an email from Bernie saying "Yeah, it's dead - I'm finished with it." would be a valid citation though...) Empath 11:07, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Right, now the domain responds with a "just a min - trying to find my site admin" message from Bernie, so I'd say that the 'Style' section is being less prophetic (maybe) and just more dissonant with the rest of the article. Or is is written in past tense because it used to warrant the statements given, but has since changed and thus doesn't match what 'Style' says now?

Now that I seem to have confused everyone (including me), does anyone have any objections to my 'present-tensing' the Style section so it meshes with the rest of the article better? Empath 22:40, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Comic is not dead. But its dieing. Updates are getting futher and futher apart, they have dropped from 2 x weekly to once weekly to twice monthly to completely random promises of an update constantly put off. Lastest comic: One month wait for a one panel photoshop image repeating the "Person getting runover in front of a warning sign" joke. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 125.237.45.213 (talk) 01:56, 16 July 2007 (UTC).

Well, it appears the site has evolved from being a Webcomic to more of a Blog - Mr. Hou has been posting updates about things ALP- or his life-related, but no new strips in two months since Abe about to get run over because he was watching some 'backfield in motion.' (and if you know the comic and the characters, you'd agree he'd croak from the ambulance gurney "Still totally worth it!")

If it's over, so be it; it's gotten a '{hiatus}' tag on my bookmark list. Empath 17:41, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

29/11/07 The author of the site has announced that very shortly he will either return to a much more frequent posting schedule or cancel the strip completely. Recent history suggests it will be canceled, or if returned to a regular schedule it will fall by the way side shortly anyhow. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.57.82.69 (talk) 09:53, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

30/12/07 Author has decleared "Site is back with a renewed focus"... however, the comic update has not happened and has been delayed twice. I suspect that as a working man with two young children he simply has no time to do the strip but is unwilling (understandably) to let it go. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.239.151.52 (talk) 19:48, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

01/02/08 Still no new comic, but the author still insists its "just around the corner" must be a hell of a corner.

18/2/08 Artist now claiming comic availble in two months. Yeah.. time to declare this one dead.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:AbeMomALP.JPG

Image:AbeMomALP.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
