Alex Seropian

Alex Seropian was one of the initial founder and the President and CEO of Bungie Software Products Corporation (renamed Bungie Studios after it was acquired by Microsoft), the developer of the Marathon, Myth, and Halo series. Seropian later went on to create Wideload Games, developer of the Halo-engine-based game Stubbs the Zombie. Alex Seropian graduated from the University of Chicago with a major in math. He founded Bungie Software as a Senior. Alex Seropian composed the soundtrack for the original Marathon game. Bungie's following games had soundtracks composed mostly by Power of Seven and Martin O'Donnell.

In 1991, Seropian founded Bungie with Jason Jones.^[1] Seropian composed the music for Marathon over four months.^[2] For the first game of the Halo series, Halo: Combat Evolved, Seropian noted that the company had to incorporate new features such as surround sound and cinematics.^[3]

Seropian founded his own studio in 2004 called Wideload Games, and is intended to be more streamlined than most video game studios.^[4] The studio's first game, Stubbs the Zombie, used the Halo engine.
