Alem Gena (Amharic: ዓለም ገና `ālem gennā, "Earthly heaven") is a town in central Ethiopia. Located in the Mirab Shewa Zone of the Oromia Region, this town has a longitude and latitude of with an elevation of 2369 meters above sea level.
Based on figures from the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, Alem Gena has an estimated total population of 8,317, of whom 4,051 were males and 4,266 were females.[1] It is one of four towns in Alem Gena woreda.
Records at the Nordic Africa Institute website state that there is an equipment yard for the Ethiopian Highway Authority in Alem Gena.[2]
