Albert Hale was elected the second Navajo Nation President in late 1994 by the consent of the Navajo people. He served three years before being indicted for accepting kickbacks and bribes. He resigned his post to avoid criminal proscution and continued on to be a lawyer.
Hale has since made a political comeback and has served as a State Senator since the beganing of 2004.[1]
