Akbar al-Baker (Arabic: أكبر الباكر; born 1960 in Doha, Qatar) is the CEO of Qatar Airways.
Mr al-Baker became Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways in 1996. Prior to his appointment he worked at the Civil Aviation Directorate of Qatar. He is also Chairman of the Qatar Tourism Authority.
Mr al-Baker holds a degree in Economics and Commerce.
His brother Hasan Al Baker works in the Doha Securities Market for the Qatar Securities Company
