Air Mikisew is an airline based in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. It operates scheduled passenger services in the Fort McMurray/Fort Chipewyan region. Its main base is at the Fort McMurray Airport[1]. It was awarded the Fort McMurray Business of the Year award in 2005.[2]

The airline was established and started operations in 1961 as Contact Air and became wholly owned by the Mikisew Cree First Nation in 1995. It has 63 employees (at March 2007)[1] - mikisew is the Cree word for eagle.

Air Mikisew provides scheduled flights between Fort Chipewyan, Fort McMurray, and Edmonton. [3]. It also provides aero-medical flights for the Municipality of Wood Buffalo area and charter flights throughout western Canada.

The Air Mikisew fleet consists of the following aircraft (as of March 2007) [1] :
- 2 BAe Jetstream 31 (one Executive and one Commuter configuration)
- 1 Raytheon Beech B99
- 1 Raytheon Beech King Air B200 Medevac
- 1 Cessna 208 Caravan (Amphibious in the summer)
