Aiphanes minima (Grigri, Chou picant, Glouglou, Glouglou rouge, Palma de coyor, Coyore, Coyure, Coyora, Macaw palm) is a palm which is native to the insular Caribbean from Hispaniola to Grenada. It is a solitary palm, usually 5-8 metres (16-26 feet) tall, although it sometimes grows as an understorey tree and may only reach 2 m (6.5') in height.[1] Young trees are spiny but become less spiny as they got older.
Aiphanes minima is native to the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Dominica, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Martinique, Barbados and Grenada. It is widely cultivated elsewhere.[1]
