Agryz

Agryz (Russian: Агрыз; Tatar: Әгерҗе, Ägerce) is a town in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, located on the Izh River (Volga's basin), 304 east of Kazan. Population: 18,620 (2002 Census); 19,732 (1989 Census).
It was founded as a settlement around Agryz railway station (which opened in 1915) due to the construction of the Kazan–Yekaterinburg railroad. It was granted town status in 1938.
