This is most definitely not true in the version I run under MAME. I'll edit it to something like "in some versions...".

Hello, I moved the After Burner page to After Burner II and replaced the After Burner entry explaining why. It is largely held in the retrogaming communities that After Burner was either a prototype or saw limited release in Japan only; because After Burner II is for all intents and purposes the same game, with what seem to be the "finishing touches" put on. Since AB and AB2 are almost the same game, I suggest that the articles should be unified. Stormwatch 00:09, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

Personally, I think there needs to be an After Burner series article, and both games seperated into their own articles. And can somebody confirm whether or not the original game was on a limited release? I have a hard time believing that.-TonicBH 11:03, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
