Afro Puffs is the first single released by The Lady of Rage in 1994 from the Death Row labelled Above the Rim soundtrack. It samples "Superman Lover" (Intro) by Johnny "Guitar" Watson.
The term that the title refers to is a hairstyle in which the hair is tied into ball-shaped masses at the top or sides of the head. Typically found on those that have hair that grows thick and somewhat frizzy, which is usually congenital in people with Afro-American descent.
It was performed live at The 1995 Source Awards.

For the video, a new, lighter instrumental was made by Dr. Dre for the song. The same instrumental was used for the Extended Version and Instrumental that appears on the CD, Cassette and 12" single singles.
A remake was made by Lil' Kim entitled "Rock On Wit Yo Bad Self" that appeared on her mixtape Ms. G.O.A.T..
