Adrian Lim

Adrian Lim was a Singaporean medium who claimed to have spiritual powers. In 1981, together with his wife, Tan Mui Choo, and girlfriend, Hoe Kah Hong, he ritually murdered two children—Agnes Ng, nine, and Ghazali bin Marzuki, 10—in his flat in Toa Payoh. He was convicted of the double murders in 1984 in a widely-watched trial and hanged in November 1988. At least three books have been written about his story.[1]
In 1990, two doctors who had assisted his wife to draw blood from five other women for their rituals, and supplied the couple with Dalmadorm and other sedative drugs "in an improper manner", were disciplined by the Singapore Medical Council.[2]
In 1991, a movie titled Medium Rare was produced on the Adrian Lim trial. It was the first full-length English language film to be produced in Singapore. It was also re-enacted in an episode of MediaCorp's True Files.
In an ongoing 2007 court case, in which Amutha Valli claimed to be a victim of a failed exorcism which caused her to develop mental problems wihch she did not suffer from prior to the exorcism. However, investigators uncovered evidence that showed that the victim already had a history of past mental problems which she attempted to hide. This includes the fact that she once drank blood that was offered to her by Adrian Lim, and she had also allowed Lim to electrically shock her. (news article)
