Adelaide is an innermost locality of Greater Adelaide, known by locals simply as "The City". The postcode of Adelaide CBD is 5000, GPO boxes are postcoded as 5001.
The locality encompasses the Adelaide central business district (CBD), bounded by North Terrace, East Terrace, South Terrace and West Terrace and is the oldest part of Greater Adelaide.
