Méïté Abdoulaye (born October 6, 1980 in Paris, France) is a French-born Ivorian footballer.
He now plays his football with Bolton Wanderers and also plays for Côte d'Ivoire national football team, for whom he has 20 caps.
Méïté was linked with a move to Premier League team Bolton Wanderers for 18 months, and finally a deal was sealed on 14 July 2006.
He has started his Bolton career in fine style, putting in a number of competent performances and as of November 2006 he is yet to miss a Premiership match for the club.
Méïté scored his first goal for Bolton in the 3-1 FA Cup defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday, 14 February 2007
In March 2008 his future seemed to lie away from Bolton after he refused to come out for the second half of the club's defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford[citation needed]. Meite claimed he was unfit to carry on but the Bolton medical staff confirmed there was no injury present.[citation needed]
As a result Bolton manager Gary Megson has forced him to train with the reserves and he is expected to move on from the Reebok Stadium in the near future.[citation needed]
