[edit] On your changes to Misandry

Hi. The existing list of examples of pop-culture showing misandry are taken from the first two books in the bibliography — which are purported to verify the connection to misandry. To avoid adding unverified examples of misandry, please support each with references. This is a controversial article, so it needs thorough referencing. Rintrah 18:55, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for experimenting with the page Eric Chester on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to John Goodsall, are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. --Elkman - (Elkspeak) 00:12, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] reversions in Socialist Party USA

It is my constructive contributions that are being vandalised! Stop the ones that are vandalising them, and abusing the reverting option —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.111.128.3 (talkcontribs) 17:57, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] reversions in Misandry

The edits you are repeatedly re-inserting have already been discussed at some length. If you don't wish to be repeatedly reverted, you will need to adapt your approach to accommodate the already mentioned concerns, or at least give much more persuasive reasons on the Talk Page.

If this is not satisfying to you, Wikipedia does provide a dispute resolution process of which you may take advantage, but Talk Page discussion is still the first step. / edgarde 17:55, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Ok, I have deleted some earlier parts in the Misandry in Western Culture which I thought either didn't have references or weren't part of a widely known phenomenon. I cannot agree to the deletion of parts which fall under the referenced/widely known category.

Thanks for your reply!
I haven't read your latest changes (busy day), but one thing to keep in mind is that items on that list need to actually document misandry. Lists of "reasons it may be disadvantageous to be born male" do not by themselves do this.
A good way to make this work would be to provide references of someone (authors Nathanson and Young come up a lot) explaining how these things actually demonstrate misandry (or at least the author's concept thereof).

The issues I mention have to do with structural violence, and structural cultural repression and hostility towards solving the problems. The fact so many men lead such wretched existence is a pattern of the misandry in society.

Good luck. Thanks for helping Wikipedia. / edgarde 19:07, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Just had a look at the latest version of Misandry. There still are serious problems, and I made some changes but not all the ones I felt were needed — there's an explanation in the Edit History, and a more detailed one on Talk:Misandry.
Continuing the revert-war will get you in trouble. My suggestion would be to put it down for a while and gain some familiarity with Wikipedia's procedures.
Good reading:
I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but I'm hoping you don't head down the path you're facing. Familiarity with some of the advice in those links might prevent you from being banned. / edgarde 21:08, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 3rr edit warring

Warning

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing in misandry. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you.-Andrew c 19:23, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

When editing on User Talk or Article Talk pages, please sign your name using four tildes ~~~~ when making your posts. I would also suggest that you consider getting an account for yourself. -David Schaich Talk/Cont 19:32, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Please do not introduce any form of vandalism to the userpages of other users, as you did to User:Hugo.arg. Thank you. (diff) -- Zarius 12:19, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
