The 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum is a 7mm rifle cartridge introduced by Remington Arms in 2002. It is a beltless, rebated rim cartridge created by necking down the .300 Remington Ultra Magnum case to 7mm (.284 caliber) with no other changes. The 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum is currently the largest commercially available cartridge in 7mm (.284 caliber).

The 7mm RUM is an adequate cartridge for any big game species in North America. With power unequaled by any other factory loaded 7mm(.284) rifle cartridge it will easily handle Elk and Moose and is perfectly adequate for Brown Bear and other large game.
