User talk:76.102.72.153

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Attention:

This IP address, 76.102.72.153, is registered to Comcast Cable; San Francisco, an Internet service provider through which numerous individual users may connect to the Internet via proxy. This IP address may be reassigned to a different person when the current user disconnects.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism, in which case, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation.
IT staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

[edit] WP:3RR

Just a note that individuals are only allowed three reverts in a 24-hour period to any one article. Please see WP:3RR. It is also a violation of this policy to use sockpuppets to get around the rule, ie edit warring by rotating usage of an IP and registered username. --Ave Caesar (talk) 02:25, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WP:3RR

If you restore that material again you will be in violation of WP:3rr. Dance With The Devil (talk) 03:54, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Hmm let me check. You might be right.76.102.72.153 (talk) 03:55, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Actually you have reverted four times already - so are in violation of the 3RR. It would be a good idea if you self-reverted. Otherwise you may well be reported and blocked. John Smith's (talk) 06:19, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

btw, a friendly note. You might want to read the talk page of the article, and my message on the 3RR report they made against you (about the same time you were warned btw). You were lucky this time but please be careful not to exceed the 3RR rule, as it really works against your best interests. Other than that, thanks for your positive contributions to the article.Giovanni33 (talk) 09:13, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, you are right.76.102.72.153 (talk) 02:01, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Please stop edit warring on User talk:DHeyward. Users are allowed to remove messages from their own talk pages if they wish. If you continue edit warring you will be blocked for disruptive editing. Thanks, Sarah 03:32, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes, but I hope you told him the same as he was doing that to my talk page.76.102.72.153 (talk) 05:11, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Yes, but you're editing as an IP, not a username and deleting recent warnings from an IP's talk page is not as universally accepted as it is from user's talk pages. In fact, there are many administrators who argue that IPs should not be removing recent warning from their talk pages and I have seen them protect IP's talk pages to prevent them from continuing to remove recent warnings. So the two are not comparable. If you want to delete messages I suggest you create a username and then no one will dispute your removal of messages. Sarah 05:53, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Mistake

Sorry for the mistake! I have removed the warning to your page and reverted the change that I made. Cheers, Razorflame 00:48, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
