From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi. I think only a part of Hammock (music) was copyrighted. I have removed this section, but restored the remaining parts, which looked to me like they originated from Wikipedia. Hope this is OK .. Chris 73 | Talk 01:38, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Excellent. The intro didn't seem Wikipediaish, so I assumed it was copy/pasted as well. Article tagged. 72.224.97.185 01:40, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
I just checked the intro carefully again, and could not find any sections on google elsewhere but on Wikipedia. Seems to be original to Wikipedia. Thanks for tagging. BTW, ever though about getting a login? It seems you know your way around here well. -- Chris 73 | Talk 01:43, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Stylistic Problems

Thank you for attempting to correct the grammar on the Dancing with the Stars (US TV series) page! However, instead of improving the grammar, this introduced a grammatical error. Please familiarize yourself with English grammar before making such corrections to articles. More information is available on Wikipedia's Manual of Style. Enjoy your time on the internet's fastest growing encyclopædia/encyclopedia. Thank you. --Winner4600 01:39, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

That wasn't me, it was my brother using another computer on the local network, d****t. 72.224.97.185 03:01, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Well, it just happened again, on the same article! Please try logging out of your account each time you leave Wikipedia, so no more vandalism occurs. Thank you. --Winner4600 00:10, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
I don't edit using an account, and even if I set one up, he'd still be able to edit whatever he likes. That's the principle behind Wikipedia, isn't it? 72.224.97.185 00:21, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh, right. I forgot you didn't have an account. But if you did, his vandalism wouldn't be under your name, anyway. --Winner4600 04:14, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Last Warning

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Dancing with the Stars (US TV series), are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. --Winner4600 18:40, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thank you for condensing and stubbing the Trahan article. I had intended to do that anyway, so you saved me a little bit of time and work. Glacierman 00:46, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: White Pines Lodge

I cleaned up what I perceived to be POV probs on that article, White Pines State Park Lodge and Cabins, check it, fix it (if necessary) and remove the tag, if you don't I will in a few days if there are no further objections. Just fyi, try to put a rationale for the tag on the talk page the next time you place it, though this time I found pretty blatant errors and corrected them. Happy Editing. A mcmurray 02:16, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] excessive tags

You seem to have simultaneously put 3 different db tags some not elevant, like nonsense, on an article,--admittedly an unworthy article, "steve Tilotson" I am sure WP appreciates your work, but this degree of enhthusiasm makes it harder to sort through the nominations for speedy. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DGG (talkcontribs) 04:22, 30 January 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Tagging question

Hi - You added 6 tags to Anti Gravity Surprise, including an indication that you suspected an NPOV issue, but left no indication why. Just curious, thanks. Deliciae 08:18, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

  • I'm sorry, but that article has been deleted, and I don't have a copy locally, so I honestly can't say what was wrong. 72.224.97.185 00:10, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Similarly: why the unexplained NPOV query for Apricot File? Clarification would be welcome. --DeafMan 11:32, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
    • Again, I apologize; I edit several articles at a time and it must have been a typo. I've deleted the tag. 72.224.97.185 00:10, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
      • Thanks: I was puzzled by that one. --DeafMan 09:10, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy Delete criterion A7

This only applies if the article doesn't assert notability, not if you disagree with the notability. If you disagree that it's not notable (even though it's asserted) then you have to use a prod or take it to articles for deletion. Leebo86 01:01, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome!

You appear to have been here a while, but haven't been welcomed yet. So ...

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome!

Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Yuser31415 02:47, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
