[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. For one thing, if you edit without a username, your IP address (66.93.12.46) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! -- Craigtalbert (talk) 05:52, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Accounts

Hi. Glad to know you are getting in some useful and balanced editing here at Wikipedia. I am always delighted when I see an anonymous IP user doing such sterling work, but always wonder why they haven't created an account. There are numerous advantages to this, not least being able to create your own userpage (your own Front Page, if you like). It costs nothing, and does not commit you to editing regularly if you don't want to. It also protects you from accusations of vandalism or spamming if your ISP-assigned IP address is not exclusive.

I don't wish to appear to be nagging, but I hope you'll consider it. Best wishes and happy editing. Ref (chew)(do) 11:01, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Album Reviews

Hi--just letting you know that album review from The 9513 are allowed; please check edit history before removing (you can see that there have been previous discussions about this). Also check the albums project page...Countrymusicfan (talk) 07:54, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi, a review doesn't require a Wikipedia article to be listed - it only needs to be professional. These sites don't have Wikipedia articles anymore, but it doesn't mean their reviews aren't ok: Sputnikmusic (if it's a staff review), MusicOMH, AllHipHop, RapReviews, and Prefix Magazine. I know a blue link looks better but it's not required. WP:ALBUM#Professional reviews could helpful. Thanks! Spellcast (talk) 01:33, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] MusicOMH.com

Hi, please will you hold any further removals of links to this site as it is in fact a notable and well regarded professional UK music review site and I am currently trying to get the article about it reinstated. It is also an allowed review site according to the criteria given in Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums. Many thanks. Jud (talk) 02:52, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
