[edit] WP:AFC request
I came close to creating that article. There were two problems I had with it, though. I felt that the request did not sufficiently explain the significance of the subject per WP:MUSIC. Also, per our verifiability policy, the only sources you included with the entry were primary sources. We require reliable, third party secondary sources to establish the notability of the subject. If you fix these problems and resubmit the request your article is likely to be accepted. Cheers! Redfarmer (talk) 09:58, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- We have to be "stiff" on this. We approve entries from people we don't know based on the information you give us. Whatever we approve will appear under our contributions--not yours. Therefore, we are putting our reputations at stake. So, the fact that I don't know anything about your group is precisely why I must decline the request unless you provide more reliable sources. There's nothing baffling about it. And no, being approved by a non-profit is not enough to satisfy notability. Please see WP:MUSIC for information on notability requirements for musicians. [edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 13:18, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
