Hey, got your message. The guideline you need to worry about is WP:MUSIC; read that, it will explain things. Another important policy is Verifiability. Basically, touring the midwest is also not enough (in my opinion: WP:MUSIC talks about touring nationally), but if you want to try to make the claim that it is enough, you still have to find an independent, reliable source that confirms that they have toured as you say: the band's website is not enough, nor are blogs or personal websites. We're more looking for newspaper or magazine articles (or even better, books, though I'm sure there aren't any books about you/your band). The band's webpage can be used to back up some of the information, but only non-controversial facts, such as the band membership. Also, it's very important that the article be written from a neutral point of view, which is kinda hard when the article is written by the subject: see autobiography guidelines. It's nothing personal here: it's just that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a soapbox or a free web-host, and these guidelines exist because a lot of people try to use it that way. Oh, and it helps in communicating here if you sign your messages by adding ~~~~ at the end to leave a signature. Mangojuicetalk 14:33, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

I am not in the band just registered as it so I am neutral. Why would past shows not count for places the band has played? As far as national touring, I just dont get that. So the band goes and plays a few shows in states further away then everything is ok? I also forgot they have played in Arkansas. If you want some "independent" views than I can have others email or write in but how do they do that? As noted there are plenty of bands listed that have similar resumes so to speak.

Please read WP:MUSIC to see if your band meets the criteria. - CobaltBlueTony 16:15, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
