The New York Yankees' 1960 season was the 58th season for the Yankees. The team finished with a record of 97-57, winning their 25th pennant, finishing 8 games ahead of the Baltimore Orioles. New York was managed by Casey Stengel. The Yankees played at Yankee Stadium. Elston Howard took over as the everyday catcher, while Yogi Berra went into the outfield. In the World Series, they were defeated by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 7 games.
