Just Blaze (* 14. Januar 1978 als Justin Smith in Paterson, New Jersey[1]) ist einer der erfolgreichsten Hip-Hop-Produzenten der 2000er Jahre. Als Hausproduzent des Lables Roc-a-Fella Records prägte er den Eastcoast-Sound des neuen Jahrtausends entscheidend mit. Zusammen mit Produzenten wie Kanye West, den Heatmakerz oder Megahertz gehört er zu den Protagonisten des Chipmunk Souls, einem der erfolgreichsten Produktionsstile der Gegenwart.
Just Blaze produzierte unter anderem Megaseller wie Oh Boy (Cam'ron), Breathe (Fabolous) und Welcome to New York City (Jay-Z). Just Blaze leitet sein eigenes Label Fort Knocks Entertainment, welches ein Sublabel von Atlantic ist, und hat den BK-MC Saigon unter Vertrag genommen.[1] Außerdem hat Just Blaze einen Werbevertreg mit der Hip-Hop-Fashion Marke LRG.
