There are many resources on the internet nowadays. I will list some here for you in hopes that it will help others too.

[xийца] Betawiki: better support for your language in MediaWiki

Dear community. I am writing to you to promote a special wiki called Betawiki. This wiki facilitates the localisation (l10n) of the MediaWiki interface. You may have changed many messages here on this wiki to use your language, but if you would log in to for example the English language Wiktionary, you would not be able to use the interface as well translated as here. Infact, of the 1793 messages in the core of MediaWiki, XXXX messages have been translated. Betawiki also supports the translation of messages of almost 80 extensions, with 984 messages.

If you wish to contribute to better support of your language in MediaWiki, as well as for many MediaWiki extensions, please visit Betawiki, create an account and request translator priviledges. You can see the current status of localisation of your language on meta and do not forget to get in touch with others that may already be working on your language on Betawiki.

If you have any further questions, please let me know on my talk page on Betawiki. We will try and assist you as much as possible, for example by importing all messages from a local wiki for you to start with, if you so desire.

You can also find us on the Freenode IRC network in the channel #mediawiki-i18n where we would be happy to help you get started.

Forgive my intrusion, I'm OrbiliusMagister from it.wikisource. I'm working on babel templates and I noticed that Chechen language temnplates on en.wikipedia are not complete. Is it possible for you to add the missing ones (en:Template:User ce-1 and en:Template: User ce-2, ce-4 ce-5 if you like...)? Thnak you for your kind help. 16:51, 29 октября 2007 (UTC)

I also work on babel templates much too, it is possible for a user to just copy and paste it into the english. That is what I do. I've been very busy lately and I am not so familiar with how English wikipedia does their template babel boxes. Hey, yeah, Тоба I already submitted to namespaces. So it should update by tomorrow, Категорий is wrong. Otherwise, yeah, replace anywhere it says Image: or Изображение with Сурт and such with templates. And yes in ALL pages, no need to move the pages, just update the namespace.
