Sylvia June Day is a best-selling American writer. She also writes under the pseudonym S. J. Day.

Day is a former Russian linguist for the U.S. Army Military Intelligence.[citation needed] She currently writes romantic fiction novels for Kensington Brava (historical) and Kensington Zebra (fantasy/futuristic), as well as urban fantasy for Tor-Forge under the pseudonym S.J. Day. Day has also published fiction works with HarperCollins Avon (paranormal romance), Black Lace (contemporary), Ellora's Cave (contemporary/paranormal/futuristic), and non-fiction for BenBella Books and others.
She is the co-founder of Passionate Ink, Romance Writers of America’s first and only erotic romance special interest chapter.[1] Her work has been honored with the EPPIE Award[2] and she has been a finalist for the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious RITA Award multiple times.[3]
Day is also a member of Novelists, Inc. and Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
