This user has been editing Wikipedia, mostly as an anonymous, unregistered user, since 2006.
This user would have preferred to remain anonymous, believing this to be most in keeping with the "encyclopedia anyone can edit" philosophy, especially as regards the type of editing this user most frequently engages in.
However, this user increasingly felt that his or her contributions to Wikipedia were not taken seriously because they did not come from a registered user, and that he or she was being spoken to in a patronizing manner by other, registered, users . While this user was extremely reluctant to create an account, he or she felt it was a necessary evil if he or she wished to continue editing.
This user harbors no ill will toward the Wikipedia community. However, he or she does not wish to join that community, either. This user wishes only to continue what he or she has been doing: making small edits where he or she sees the opportunity and need to do so, in the interest of furthering Wikipedia as a body of collected knowldge.
