Category:Science fiction writers by nationality
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Note: For the purpose of this category, "nationality" refers to where the author did their writing, i.e. if they were born in one country but did all their writing in another, only the latter would be mentioned, but if they lived in more than one country during their writing career, all nationalities should be included. (E.g. Gordon Dickson, born in Alberta, writing in Minneapolis, is an American writer; William Gibson, born in South Carolina, living in Vancouver is a Canadian writer; Judith Merril or S. M. Stirling (born in France, raised partly in South Africa) should be listed as both Canadian and American.) However, a clear and verifiable preference expressed by the subject will take precedence over this general rule. (For example a British writer living in Ireland would often not consider himself to be Irish, or vice versa.)
