My name is Richard Burghause, I am a student from Germany. I am interested in chemistry, computer sciences (mainly programming) and in music (I play the piano and the electric guitar). I am also working on the German Wikipedia.

My native language is German, but I started to learn English at the age of six and I can read, write and speak English very well. It can happen that I do write too complicated English (that can happen to others, too, I think), and if I do, please tell me. I will try my best.

I really like the idea of creating a Simple English version of Wikipedia, because so many people in the world can use it and work on it. And I think that this represents the ideals of an open and free Internet really well.
