[change] Hello

Hi Bhadani. I'm cool thanks. I'm very pleased to hear that you are looking for some work to do around here. If you want to create pages, here is a list of the most wanted pages. If you just want to help revert vandalism, you would also be very welcome onboard our team. Billz 15:28, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[change] Outgoing links in stubs

Hello, and welcome. When you edit articles, and provide us with stubs, please do not create dead-end articles. Provide at least one outgoing link. Thanks -- Eptalon 17:47, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

[change] Category

I noticed you often do not add a Category. But it would be much better if you could just add: "Category:Hinduism" to your pages.

[change] work from the top down

If I can make a suggestion, rather than creating very small articles ("stubs") of just one or two sentences, find a main article and expand it with your information. When that article gets too large, then split the information out in a natural way.

For example, information on Sawm is already in the article Islam... it just needs to be improved. -- Netoholic @ 15:37, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[change] great work

Thankyou for your encouragement!! emma 08:29, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for the information and nice meeting you. Let us continue to build a really nice Simple. --Bhadani 17:43, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

[change] 82.0

I can't see anything going on. Can you explain the problem in more detail? Archer7 - talk 15:52, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for an immediate response. He has been changing certain pages. For example, he/she changed the page Tripura from a state of India to an annexed state of India. This has made the information false. Tripura is an integral part of India. In any case, any one changing a fact in this way is difficult to be spotted easily. Such a change in the English Wikipedia shall be removed immediately, at least within a reasonable time. The English wikipedia recognizes such type of vandalism when it declares: "Sneaky vandalism: Vandalism which is harder to spot. Adding misinformation, changing dates or making other sensible-appearing substitutions and typos." He/she has created a page Kingdom of Sikkim - it is interesting to note that the Englsih Wikipedia with more than a million pages do not have any such page! Regards. --Bhadani 16:14, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Great! The page has gone now. My faith in the system has increased. Thanks. --Bhadani 16:22, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

[change] New articles

Thanks for all your hard work making new articles, I'm really impressed with the quality of your work. Take a look at Wikipedia:List of articles all languages should have for some other important articles you could make! Keep up the good work! Archer7 - talk 17:07, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

[change] Mixed Requested for deletion

Hello ,Mr Bhadani. Nice to see you here as well. Can you comment on Mixed's Rfd? Thanks a lot.-- Tdxiang 10:05, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

[change] Thanks for the welcome!

I plan to be making many contributions. I am sheparding a simple wikibook, OLPC - Algebra 1 in Simple English, for use with the One Laptop Per Child computers, so I am planning to both borrow and contribute content to the simple wikipedia--HSTutorials 18:16, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[change] Hello

Thank-you for your welcome too. I'm planning to work on related subjects to the Turkish Republic like it's culture, language, traditions, geography, history and more. Bahar (Spring in Turkish) July 22, 2006

[change] Re:Mixed

Hello, I'm not really thats ure that it has been redirected at all. If so, the page would show #Redirect [[Mix]]. Can you clarify this matter? Thank you, sir.-- Tdxiang 07:10, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[change] Barnstar

For all your work on our core articles
For all your work on our core articles
I noticed that you've been working extremely hard to finish off the list. I have to say that I am amazed as I couldn't do most of the ones on there when I tried! Here's a barnstar for your fantastic effort. Archer7 - talk 16:24, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

[change] Thanks

Thanks for your kind attention, your comment made me aware of a speling problem. :) I do what I can, though it is far too little, I know. -- Eptalon 20:48, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

[change] Usability idea

I would really like it if there was a direct link to the BE850 list on the navigation bar. It seems to me that anyone writing articles should be consulting it often, and that would make it alot easier. It also seems that editing should be turned off for the BE850 and BE 1500 lists. PS Thanks for being an administrator. It's an important job. --HSTutorials 21:22, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Yes. --Bhadani 14:33, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

[change] Mixed has been redirected.

It's alright, sir. It has been redirected by Neotholic. Thanks for your help. :)-- Tdxiang 03:31, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

[change] Stubs

Please do not create stubs, especially long strings of stubs like your recent string of first lady articles. One well-written page is worth dozens of stubs. By creating a stub, you are knowlingly leaving work for someone else. -- Netoholic @ 15:44, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

I understood the point. --Bhadani 15:49, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Yes. I also found that some of the stubs relating to the President of the United States also require a lot of work. An interesting point in some cases: First Ladies have in many cases more information than the husbands! (copied from his page). --Bhadani 16:02, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Few examples: James A. Garfield & Lucretia Garfield - George Washington & Martha Washington - Gerald Ford & Betty Ford. Yes, you are right. --Bhadani 16:13, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

[change] Redlines

Hello. I have a doubt. There are several redlines requiring to be inked – I mean they require at least a stub to make them glow wiki-blue. Redlines do not look nice. Now, for each such redline, we may not have immediately a full page. A few words may suffice for the time being. However, the content should be comprehensive as far as possible. I am awaiting your suggestion. --Bhadani 16:28, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Red links are beautiful. Someone who is really interested in a topic will see the red link and hopefully devote some time and contribute a really good start to the page. By "filling in" red links with really short stubs, you fool the reader into thinking there is a full article if they click the link. We should not follow what is done on other Wikipedias. We should make really good core articles. Think of this way... we now have about 10000 articles, but about 5000 of those are stubs. That's not very good. -- Netoholic @ 21:16, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
*Reference: Yes. Netoholic. I request reference to your constructive advice.

I thought over the matter, and found that your advice is really good. I have up-dated five pages:

  1. Bess Truman
  2. Florence Harding
  3. Lady Bird Johnson
  4. Lou Henry Hoover
  5. Mamie Eisenhower

As and when I find time, I would also try to update other stubs created by me/ other editors. I am also sure that other editors shall continue to contribute – after all this common effort is the spirit of wiki. I also understand the point about the redlines. I will touch them only when I am sure to create a a page with reasonable contents. You bought me with your words: "We should not follow what is done on other Wikipedias. We should make really good core articles". I once again thank you for your valuable suggestion and comments on my work. Please feel free to point out scope for improvements. Regards. (Copied from his talk page} --Bhadani 16:27, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[change] What is the point of SE Wikipedia? - An arguement for stubs -

I'm new, so I could be wrong, but isn't the point of SE Wikipedia to provide real information to English language learners? If that's true, a short article in Simple English is more valuable than a long one that isn't.

Here's why I'm inclined to continue "writing stubs"

  1. Something is better than nothing if you're the intended audience of SE Wikipedia.
  2. I don't think I have it in me to write a thorough article on anything.
  3. Formal definitions are not that helpful, anyway.

[change] Indian Independence movement

Hello, Bhadani, and thank you for the note you dropped me. I marked the article as unsimple not because I thought it was very complex to understand. I marked it unsimple because that adds another category (unsimple pages). People looking for things to do, might come across the unsimple pages and find the article there. Too often I am myself guilty of copying too much and editing too little. I will try to make the article simpler, when I can. I am no expert in the subject though, all I know about it I know form text books; I have also never been to India. Hope to be of use anyway. -- Eptalon 20:49, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I know - but we shall do it. --Bhadani 15:42, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm currently cleaning up the article. Let me know what you think when I'm done. Respectfully, Ionius Mundus 22:09, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
All done with cleaning up. How is it? --Ionius Mundus 09:19, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

[change] Khalistan

Hello, Bhadani. I just edited Khalistan. It was flagged as npov, and as disputed. I tried to bring the gist of the English article here. Could you have a look at the article, and fix/extend it as you see fit? - I am really no expert on this. -- Eptalon 22:42, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[change] Stopped?

Are you not editing anymore, Mr Bhadani? Your Indian friends (whom I personally know) are here, too, as newbies. Take Anirudhsbh, for example. He's here too. So is Srikeit. Are you leaving us?-- Tdxiang 11:08, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
