I've changed Kedzie Avenue to Western Avenue as the eastern boundary of Ashburn. I lived in Ashburn from 1970 to 1987 and attended Charles Carroll Elementary School at 83rd and Sacramento and Quigley Preparatory Seminary South at 77th and Western, so I know my neighborhood. It is impossible for the eastern boundary to be Kedzie because that would exclude Ashburn Park! The park was renamed Frances D. Hayes Park around 1976, for the priest that founded St. Thomas Moore parish. I think that a case could be made to extend the northern boundary of Ashburn to include all of what is now St. Rita High School (formerly Quigley South) because there is a distinct neighborhood boundary in the railyard just north of the high school.
The article is good, but a little wordy. Chicago community maps I've looked at actually showed the eastern border of Ashburn at the CSX Railroad tracks (2200 W) and the former Conrail tracks (now a bike path.) Terehend72 05:03, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
