Armel was born on June 25, 1985. He is an American singer currently signed to Fort Knocks Entertainment.

Armel was born on June 25, 1985 in New York City to loving parents. Coming up on the poor side of Staten Island, his family did not have much. As a child, Armel wanted to be a singer. Armel was also a talented basketball player and was the European ambassador for basketball during his teenage years. His interests would soon turn back to singing professionially. He would use this for his inspiration and would end up meeting Method Man. This would lead to him forming a friendship with many Wu-Tang affiliates. He would become somewhat of a producer. Early in his career, Armel was a back up singer for Tyrese, Kenny Lattimore, and Chante Moore. He would go on to be Kenny Lattimore's understudy for a while and would continue to tour with him. This would lead to him having small acting roles on shows like, The District, and in movies like National Lampoon's Van Wilder. After this, he would go on to work with David Foster, Ja Rule, and Beyonce. After forming a friendship with Beyonce, she introduced him to Jay-Z, who in turn, introduced him to Just Blaze. He would begin to work with Blaze on his album. This led to Just Blaze signing him to his Fort Knocks Entertainment label. His debut album, Love 101, is set to be released in June 2008. The first single is "I Took It Down," featuring Juelz Santana.
