Andrzej Stelmachowski

Andrzej Stelmachowski (1925-present) is a Polish academic and politician. Member of Armia Krajowa resistance during Second World War. Lawyer, professor of University of Wrocław (from 1962) and University of Warsaw (from 1967). Solidarity advisor in 1980, took part in the Polish Round Table Agreement. Marshal of the Senate (1989-1991), Minister of Education (1991-1992), presidential advisor (2007-present).
Founder and president of Stowarzyszenie "Wspólnota Polska" to 11. may 2008.
